The Emsland is a cycling paradise with easy routes; its flat countryside is inviting for cyclists. It offers various possibilities with excursion destinations for every taste. Here are some examples: Emslandmuseum, Moormuseum, medicinal herb garden or Emsflower in Emsbüren, Nordhorn Zoo, Delfinoh or Linus Wasserwelten leisure parks, Schloss Dankern.

One highlight in Emsland is a visit to the ocean liners in Papenburg. Meyer Werft builds huge cruise ships each year. In a 2-hour visit to the shipyard, you will learn more about shipbuilding. With a little luck, you can even witness an Ems river crossing. (Dates are always announced at very short notice)

The city of Lingen invites you to go shopping. In the Lookentor gallery, a mall, you can shop wonderfully in the heart of the city. A city tour is another alternative. Learn historical facts about our city and follow in the footsteps of the Kievelinge, the sons of the city.

The Kirschbaum family will spoil you at Hotel Zum Märchenwald. In our restaurant you can enjoy excellent home-cooked German cuisine. Allow our chef to spoil you with delicious three-course menus or discover the delicacies from the hot stone. The final evening give you a free choice: you can combine your own meal from the rich menu.
